A candidate for embattled Representative John Carnevale's seat name-dropped her relationship with Providence Chief of Police Colonel Hugh Clements and Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare at a traffic stop, according to an officer's report in records obtained by GoLocalProv.com. A Providence police report from November 23, 2015 by Patrolman Frank Furtado shows that Lisa Scorpio, who is running for State Representative in District 13, was pulled over on Washington Street for not having a front registration plate - and that Scorpio said she was "good friends" with Clements and Pare, and asked for the officer's name.
