Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin and U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin are set to be Uber's first riders in West Virginia. The governor's office says Tomblin and Manchin are scheduled to take a short trip by Uber from the Capitol Market in Charleston to the state Capitol building on Tuesday.

Some West Virginia legislators appear to have caught shutdown fever. That would explain why they are returning to Charleston a day earlier than previously planned, to work on the state budget.
