The White House has dismissed claims by FBI Director James Comey that the DOJ never sought to spy on Donald Trump's Presidential campaign in an attempt to link them to Russian officials and financiers. A statement added: "We would be equally alarmed to learn that a court found enough evidence of criminal activity or contact with a foreign power to legally authorise a wiretap of President Trump, the Trump Campaign, or Trump Tower".
