Scorpene leak: DCNS seeks injunction to prevent further publication of data Melbourne, Aug 29 : In a bid to prevent further publication of the information regarding the leaked documents pertaining to Indian Navy's six Scorpene submarines, French shipbuild The company DCNS, which is at the centre of a global submarine data leak scandal, wants to prevent the Aussie publication, The Australian, from releasing any more confidential data contained in 22,400 secret documents because it may cause harm to its customer -- the Indian Navy. Lawyers for DCNS have told The Australian that the company will seek an injunction in the Supreme Court of New South Wales to prevent further publication of documents.
South Korea and the U.S. have agreed to share information about submarines in North Korean waters after the North successfully launched a ballistic missile from a submarine last week. A meeting of Navy brass from the two sides "discussed ways to analyze and share information about the maritime environment in the sphere of operations in waters around the Korean Peninsula," a military source said on Sunday.

To celebrate 130 years of service, the Port Sanilac Lighthouse is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept, 10. The lighthouse is located on South Lake Street. With the completion of major restoration work, the public can see the original 1886 classic lighthouse Fresnel lens in place on top of the tower before the U.S. Coast Guard replaces it with a new LED light the following week.
