Police Arrest ‘Irate,’ ‘Combative’ Drunk Driver At Tarrytown Stop And Shop

A strange scene unfolded at the Stop and Shop parking lot in Tarrytown last week that led to a man getting charged for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit. Shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, police were dispatched to the Stop and Shop location on White Plains road in Tarrytown, after a caller reported that he was being following by a driver who subsequently struck him when he attempted to park at the grocery store.
