The first flu-related death in Eastern Idaho Public Health’s boundaries was reported around Christmas, taking the state’s total death toll due to the illness to four as of Thursday. The woman, who was over the age of 70, lived in the area covered by Idaho Health District 7, which includes Bonneville, Clark, Custer, Fremont, Jefferson, Lemhi, Madison and Teton counties.
