JD(S) leaders complain to CM over Zoo closure

Mysuru, Jan. 5- Even as the rift between Mallige Veeresh, the Chairperson of Zoo Authority of Karnataka and K. Kamala Karikalan, Executive Director of Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens came out in the open yesterday over the issue of the month-long closure of the Zoo, several JD leaders have complained to Chief Minister Siddharamaiah demanding action against Kamala Karikalan for what they called her ‘autocratic decisions.’ While Mallige Veeresh has said that she was not aware of the closure of the Zoo following the outbreak of avian influenza as she was not informed, Kamala Karikalan said that she had informed the ZAK Chairperson through telephone and WhatsApp messages.
