Lowell High School hosting a diabetes fundraising game

The Lowell High boys hockey team will hold its second annual Hockey Fights T1D fundraising game when it hosts Wayland High at the Tsongas Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the game will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation , which is working to cure, treat and improve the lives of children and adults with type 1 diabetes. Helping to raise money for JDRF has special meaning for the Red Raiders’ program since senior captain Casey Sheehy and sophomore forward Thomas Hassett are type 1 diabetics.
