FRUSTRATED mothers have hit out saying there needs to be more activities for their disabled children during the school breaks. Parents are urging Portsmouth City Council to consider setting up more events specifically catering for children with disabilities and special needs.

It’s not the easiest time for a skinny dip, but one Hampshire man braved the cold and let it all hang out in aid of a local charity. Geoff Tingley from Locks Heath raised A 2,800 with a New Year’s Day dip to raise money for breast cancer support centre the Haven.

But 10 years on, the 69-year-old is cancer-free and thanks one person in particular for saving her life.

A SERVICE providing free mental health advice to thousands of people has won the contract to continue giving treatment and support. It was started in 2010 and thanks to a new contract will continue to offer a range of treatments freely available to anyone aged 16 and over and registered with a GP.
