NASA proposes redefining the word ‘planet’
In order for a body to be classed as a planet under the current definition of the word, it must be in orbit around its parent star, it must be massive enough for its own gravity to make it round and it must have “cleared its neighborhood” of smaller objects within its own orbit. Now though, scientists at NASA have come up with a new definition of the word ‘planet’ that focuses, not on its orbital attributes, but on its physical properties.

Britain’s decision to leave the Europe Union is raising risks for 66,000 workers in the nuclear power industry and threatening to disrupt the flow of atomic fuel across international borders. The government in deciding to quit the EU also plans to pull out of the 60-year-old nuclear safety and research organization, according to a Feb. 2 policy paper from Prime Minister Theresa May’s administration.
Uranium Gains 10% as Top Producer Plans Output Cut Amid Glut
Uranium surged the most in more than three weeks as Kazakhstan said it will reduce production by 10 percent this year after prices slumped in 2016 amid a global inventory glut. Spot uranium rose $2.25, or 10 percent, to close at $24.25 a pound on Tuesday, the highest level since September, according to data from Ux Consulting Co.

Trump Team’s Asking for Ways to Keep Nuclear Power Alive
President-elect Donald Trump’s advisers are looking at ways in which the U.S. government could help nuclear power generators being forced out of the electricity market by cheaper natural gas and renewable resources.
