The tie was part of an unbeaten campaign for Demarest that ended in a Public C title, and it allowed Bergen Catholic to record its fourth-straight victory at the Bergen County Meet of Champions. But neither team was content with a repeat performance, and Bergen Catholic made sure of that, refusing to take its foot off the peddle even with an insurmountable lead heading into the 400 free relay to win its fifth-straight with 237 points to Demarest’s 215 on Sunday evening at Felix Festa Middle School.
