Campaign under way to create national Rosie the Riveter Day

Phyllis Gould, 95, one of the original Rosie the Riveter welders during WWII, sits at home in Fairfax on March 3. She has lobbied for a Rosie the Riveter national day. Ninety-five-year-old Phyllis Gould of Fairfax made history during World War II as one of the women who collectively became known as Rosie the Riveter.
