The Indians may have Francisco Lindor now, but for several years Brantley was the lead attraction on the Indians, and his turning into a hitting machine from nowhere was a pleasure to behold. I could, and probably will, write at least one piece this year only to rave over his swing.

Capping a year in which they came within one victory of winning the World Series for the first time since 1948, the Indians agreed to terms with the veteran slugger on a $60 million, three-year contract Thursday night. The deal includes a club option for 2020 that, if exercised, would make it worth $80 million over four years.
