US, South Korea fly bombers over Korean Peninsula

The US and South Korea have staged a joint show of force over the Korean Peninsula, two days after North Korea fired a missile over Japan. The Coast Guard suspended their search, Tuesday, for two missing fishermen overdue in Lake Erie since Monday after rescuing one. Just after 12:30 p.m., a Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 from Joint Rescue Coordination Centre Trenton, Ontario, spotted a man clinging to a capsized vessel about 15 nautical miles northeast of Cleveland.

Services held in NY for Marines killed in Mississippi crash

Hundreds gathered at a memorial service Sunday for nine Marine Corps aviators who were killed when their New York-based transport plane crashed in Mississippi last month. A total of 15 Marines and a sailor died July 10 when a C-130 transport plane crashed on July 10. The victims included nine crewmembers who served in a Marine Forces Reserve transport squadron based at Stewart Air National Guard base in Newburgh in New York's Hudson Valley.
