Rik Combs, of Lohman, filed Tuesday as the fifth Republican candidate seeking to represent the 59th Missouri House District seat currently held by Mike Bernskoetter, R-Jefferson City, who is term-limited. Combs grew up on a cattle farm and served as a senior officer in the United States Air Force for parts of three decades before retiring, then serving as CEO for a Gainesville, Florida, consulting firm from 2006-09.
