EPA finalizing plans to relieve tainted wells in Kewaunee County

The Environmental Protection Agency says it's finalizing a plan to supply water to some residents of Kewaunee County of northeastern Wisconsin, where manure from large dairy farms is being blamed for contaminated wells. Robert Kaplan, acting regional administrator for the EPA, told residents at a meeting organized by U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin this past week that his agency will announce a plan within the next month to supply residents who have tainted wells.

Hillary Clinton to give much-anticipated acceptance speech Thursday night

The final day of the Democratic National Convention is underway inside the Wells Fargo Center and party presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's acceptance speech is the main feature Thursday night. Clinton is not seen as warm or trustworthy by a large percentage of American voters, and while other speakers have tried to help her image in those regards this week, the former Secretary of State is expected to focus on her qualifications to be president and her plans for the next four years.

Baldwin Waterfront Bill Passes Senate

A Senate bill aimed at helping to restore and revitalize endangered waterfronts across the county is moving through to the House. Senator Tammy Baldwin has been working on getting the Waterfront Community Revitalization and Resiliency Act passed for the past year, and says she's happy to finally see it get a vote.
