An airplane with 11 people on board has crashed on Mount Jumbo on Prince of Wales Island. According to the U.S. Coast Guard, all 11 have reportedly survived.

Authorities say a 13-year-old has gone missing while swimming in Lake Erie off a Cleveland beach and crews continue to search for him. The search continued Sunday for the boy who Cleveland police say disappeared beneath waves while swimming off of Edgewater Beach around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Man pulled from burning boat in Casco Bay in Maine
A man was pulled from the water in Casco Bay in Maine Saturday night after his boat caught fire and sank, according to the US Coast Guard in Boston. The man suffered third-degree burns when the 34-foot vessel caught fire 8:20 p.m. off Chebeague Island, Petty Officer Andrew Barresi said.

Officials are searching Thursday for Mark Wautelet, who is in his 60s. Officials say Kewaunee Dispatch notified the Coast Guard late Wednesday of a 35-foot pleasure craft with one occupant that left the Kewaunee Marina at about 5 p.m. and was due back by about 9:30 p.m. The Coast Guard says a helicopter found the vessel beached on shore early Thursday before it left to refuel.

Crew members on a U.S. Coast Guard lifeboat encountered what they thought might be a great white shark off the coast of Boothbay Harbor on Monday. Chief Adam Smart said the 47-foot boat was returning from a search-and-rescue mission when its four-man crew spotted a large light-colored shark crossing the boat's bow.
