Roswell chooses city administrator finalist

The City of Roswell mayor and council have chosen Gary Palmer, Farragut Tennessee's assistant town manager, as the finalist for Roswell's vacant city administrator position. The mayor and council will formally vote on Palmer's appointment during an Oct. 10 special called City Council meeting, following the 5 p.m. committee meetings.

Man accused of holding 8 women against their will facing additional charges

Police announced 12 additional felony charges against a man accused of holding eight women against their will inside a multimillion-dollar home in Sandy Springs, Ga. Friday, police said Kenndric Roberts, 33, is now facing five counts of false imprisonment, five counts of trafficking a person for labor and two counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Detectives on Tuesday were combing through video from multiple cameras and hoping to hear from any possible witnesses near a suburban Atlanta grocery store in the pre-dawn hours before a teenage boy and girl were both found slain, authorities said. The bodies of Natalie Henderson and Carter Davis, both 17, were discovered by a delivery driver behind the Publix supermarket shortly before 6 a.m. Monday, Roswell police said.
