The way forward on House Bill 2 will be tricky since Republicans and Democrats do not trust each other, according to N.C. Sen. Jerry Tillman. He also said some legislators question whether the N.C. General Assembly made a mistake when they met in a special session on March 23 to pass HB2, which nullified a Charlotte ordinance that was set to take effect in a few days.
