Gianforte’s fortunes tied to Trump in Montana House race

U.S. Rep. Greg Gianforte is pinning his third campaign in two years on Montana residents being better off economically since President Donald Trump took office and that the voters will give him some of the credit. Gianforte has tied his political fortunes to Trump as he seeks his first full term in Montana's only House seat.

Montana DOJ urges people minimize risk of cyber threats

HELENA Two recent data breaches, one at a Bozeman-based company and another at Facebook, highlight the importance of knowing how to minimize the risk of cyber threats and how to respond if your personal data may have been compromised. On Friday, Facebook notified the Montana Department of Justice's Office of Consumer Protection that approximately 50 million user accounts were impacted by a data breach.

Trump on the Stump

If the rumors are true, Donald Trump will be coming to Montana this week to stump for Matt Rosendale, the Republican challenger to incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester. Given his past behavior, we can expect the usual insults, name-calling and chest-thumping that are the trademark of a president who has no experience in government and sees public policy not as a give-and-take of differences of opinion between reasonable people, but as a stage upon which he can strut while sowing division among the citizens of our state, nation, and world.

Matt Rosendale Wins Montana GOP Senate Primary

Montana state Auditor Matt Rosendale won the GOP nomination for Senate on Tuesday. State Auditor Matt Rosendale won the GOP nomination Tuesday night to take on Montana Democratic Sen. Jon Tester  in November.  With 64 percent of precincts reporting, Rosendale led a four-way field with 33 percent of the vote, according to The Associated Press.

GOP Senate primary heats up in Montana
