Hoak restored as county’s acting coroner
In a cycle of resignations and appointments, a county coroner's deputy who quit his post as acting coroner in early August has again ascended to that position, according to the county commissioners who accepted the appointments on Sept. 25. Michael Hoak has once again become Perry County acting coroner despite quitting the job on Aug. 28 after the county Republican Committee threw their support behind a police officer from Shermans Dale to be the party's candidate in the November special election.
