Coast Guard aids fishing boat that took on water off Grand Isle

The U.S. Coast Guard launched a 45-foot response boat crew from Grand Isle to help those aboard a fishing vessel that was taking on water off the island Tuesday morning , Coast Guard officials said. Coast Guard Sector New Orleans was notified at 6:02 a.m. that the fishing vessel "Jennifer & David" was taking on water about 11 miles south of Grand Isle.

Navy intelligence chief sacked for stalking young pilot

A SENIOR Royal Navy intelligence expert from Salisbury has been dismissed from the service for stalking a young trainee pilot over a four-year period, which left his victim in "hysterical tears" and suffering from severe anxiety. Lieutenant Commander Andrew Thompson, an instructor and experienced pilot of the 815 Naval Air Squadron, pleaded guilty to the offence of stalking against Leading Aircrewman Hannah Leask.
