V&E Picks Up Former Head of DOJ Environmental Division as Partner in DC

Vinson & Elkins has strengthened its environmental and white-collar crime practice, hiring Ronald Tenpas, a former assistant attorney general for the environment and natural resources division of the U.S. Department of Justice, as a partner in Washington, D.C. Tenpas, who focuses his practice on government enforcement matters, joined Vinson & Elkins on Monday from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he had practiced since 2009 after spending 12 years with the DOJ. He served as AAG from 2007 through 2009, and earlier served as a U.S. attorney in the Southern District of Illinois.

Lloyd Neurauter Pleads Guilty to Murder of Ex-Wife, Faces 25 Years to Life in Prison

CORNING, N.Y. Lloyd Neurauter has pleaded guilty to First Degree Murder, Custodial Interference in the First Degree and Conspiracy in the Second Degree in connection to the death of his ex-wife, Michelle Neurauter. Lloyd, 48, murdered Michelle at her home on Dwight Avenue in the City of Corning on August 27, 2017 and then staged her death to look like a suicide.

Niese, 49, of Put-in-Bay, former village of Put-in-Bay fiscal officer, was indicted on the following charges: Melinda McCann Myers, 52, of Put-in-Bay, the former president of Put-in-Bay Village Council, was recently charged with six counts of conflict of interest, misdemeanors of the first degree.
