FEMA recovery center on St. Simons closing Saturday
The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced in a news release it will be closing the disaster recovery center in the St. Simons Island police station precinct Saturday. Operated jointly by the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency and FEMA, the center, 1964 Demere Rd. on St. Simons Island, will close for the foreseeable future at 3 p.m. The center in the Camden County Recreation Center, 1050 Wildcat Blvd., will also close at 3 p.m. Saturday.
