TAX CUT: The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved the 2021 budget on December 15th – By Brian Harrod

greenburgh’s 2021 budget includes no tax hike (actually a small tax decrease).

GREENBURGH: There are two Greenburgh, NY budgets: one of the budgets is for both the unincorporated section of the town and the villages.

And a 2nd budget is for only unincorporated Greenburgh residents.

The total amount of the budget that impacts the villages is $32,880,631.

The total amount of the budget impacting only unincorporated Greenburgh is $87,123,514.

The town portion of your tax bill does not include school, county or fire district taxes which we have no control over.

For most residents the town portion of your taxes is about 17% of your entire tax bill (there are some fluctuations depending on where you live).

For residents of the villages with an assessment of $500,000 the tax bill will be $226.31 in 2021 compared to $229.55 last year.

For residents of unincorporated the tax bill will be $3,060.92 compared to $3,096.77 last year.
