Long before John Stockton became synonymous with the Utah Jazz and Tim Duncan became known for playing for the San Antonio Spurs, they established themselves as household names thanks to their exploits in college. Duncan and Stockton are the headliners of the latest class that will be inducted into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame later this year.

A person with direct knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that the Buffalo Bills are in discussions with the representative of pending free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer. The person says the talks began Wednesday, when NFL teams have an open window to contact pending free agents a day before the NFL’s signing period begins.

Boxing trainer Lou Duva, seen here with his boxers Curtis Meeks, Oscar Diaz, Kendall Holt, Dante Craig, Shaun George and Alexis Mejias, has died. He was 95. The Boxing Hall of Famer worked with some of the greatest names in the fight game, including heavyweight champions Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis, plus Hector “Macho” Camacho, Vinny Pazienza, Pernell Whitaker, Meldrick Taylor and Mark Breland.
