Ten years ago, TFF attended the funeral of the Wallaby great Trevor Allan , and was moved by a small episode that occurred when the moment came to carry his casket into the chapel of Northern Suburbs Crematorium. His coffin was to be borne by members of the 1948 Wallabies side he so gloriously captained, and as the old men with cauliflower ears milled about at the back of the hearse, it was clear they were a tad unsure as to who should do what, how they should position themselves.
