Every year, the NFL Draft is particularly strong in certain positions. Some years we’ll see a crazy wide receiver class, other years the pass rushers are strong, and sometimes we get a great quarterback class.

Going into the 2017 season, the 49ers have all four of their tight ends under contract – Vance McDonald , Garrett Celek , Blake Bell , and Je’Ron Hamm. Although the position group may appear to be set and good to go, one huge area of concern – an issue continuously plaguing the position – are injuries.

The 49ers have lost 17 of 18 road games dating back to December 2014, and all but three defeats were by at least 10 points.
