Just when almost everyone was healthy, the Dallas Mavericks watched J.J. Barea go down with another calf injury on Friday night. After appearing in just 17 games this season due to a previous calf injury, Barea found himself suiting up for his eighth straight game on Friday night against Utah.

The Mavericks’ leader, who has missed all but five games this season, will play on a limited-minutes basis tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers. He’s missed the last 14 games and 22 of the last 24 with a strained right Achilles.
