Troutman was 9-of-12 shooting, Filer was 4 of 4 from the field and Justin Massey scored 14 points, including four 3s.

Haney’s 7 3s power LMU over Pepperdine 82-61

Steven Haney tied a career high with seven 3s and scored 25 points, and Loyola Marymount made 16 of 28 from long range en route to an 82-61 win over Pepperdine on Saturday. Haney finished 7 of 12 from beyond the arc, Brandon Brown went 4 of 5 to finish with 14 points, and Buay Tuach made 3 of 6 and scored 13 points for the Lions .

Long Beach St. outlasts UC Davis 78-69 in OT

Temidayo Yussuf and Evan Payne each scored 18 points, and Payne’s basket at the end of regulation gave Long Beach State momentum into overtime to beat UC Davis 78-69 Thursday night. Long Beach state took the lead for good on a free throw, and Justin Bibbins and Payne each buried 3s, and the 49ers led 63-58 with 3:02 left in the extra session.

Sam Houston St. finishes strong, beats Incarnate Word 72-63

Josh Delaney had 14 points, Chris Galbreath Jr. added 13, and Torry Butler had a career-best 15 rebounds as Sam Houston State finished strong to beat Incarnate Word 72-63 on Saturday night. The win stopped a short two-game losing skid as Sam Houston State fell out of first place in the Southland Conference after losing to Abilene Christian and Lamar.

Bulls shine on offense, but it still isn’t enough as Northern Illinois picks up an 89-80 win

Buffalo Bulls Women’s Basketball did a tremendous job keeping up with Northern Illinois for three quarters but in the end, the Huskies emerged victorious on offense. Dropping this game 89-80, the Bulls now find themselves in a spot where they have to reconsider how they’re going about defense, as the hot shooting teams of the MAC have become too much to handle.
