Source: Rangers, Mike Napoli reach agreement on 1-year deal

A source with direct knowledge of the situation confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that Napoli, 35, will be joining the Rangers for the third time, this time on a one-year deal. Grant wrote last week that the Rangers and Napoli might have a handshake deal in place, but wouldn’t announce a move until Feb. 14 — when the club can move Napoli onto the 40-man roster without exposing a player to the waiver wire.
