After sitting the past three games, forward T.J. Oshie and defenseman Brooks Orpik both fully practiced with the Capitals Wednesday afternoon. Washington Coach Barry Trotz didn’t commit to either of them definitely playing against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, but they’re “close.”

NHL scores: Beagle scores twice as Washington routs Chicago 6-0
Jay Beagle scored twice to lead a balanced blowout for the Washington Capitals as they won their eighth consecutive game, beating the Chicago Blackhawks 6-0 on Friday night in a matchup of the NHL’s hottest teams. Nicklas Backstrom, Brett Connolly, Tom Wilson and T.J. Oshie also scored for Washington, which snapped Chicago’s winning streak at four.
T.J. Oshie and Tom Wilson, both injured, questionable to play against Canadiens
After Washington Capitals forwards T.J. Oshie and Tom Wilson both suffered injuries against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night, neither practiced with the team at Bell Sports Complex on Sunday and it’s unclear if either will play against the Canadiens on Monday night. “I won’t really have an idea until tomorrow,” Coach Barry Trotz said.

New Jersey Devils defenceman John Moore was removed from the ice on a stretcher during Saturday’s game against the Washington Capitals. He was checked into the boards behind the Devils net by Washington forward Tom Wilson early in the first period.
