Isaiah Thomas scored 20 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter and the Boston Celtics pulled away late for a 117-108 win over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night . Al Horford added 16 points and nine rebounds, Jae Crowder scored 20 and Terry Rozier had 11 for the Celtics, who won for the fifth time in six games and ended Washington’s three-game winning streak.

DeRozan added 13 rebounds for his second double-double of the season, and Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and a career-high 23 rebounds.

Re: Measuring Greatness

The first round of NBA All-Star game voting results came out yesterday, and a subject of much discussion was the relative rankings of the Raptors back court. With DeMar DeRozan in third place behind Dwayne Wade and Kyrie Irving, there’s certainly a case to be made that he should at least be ahead of Wade, especially given his early season scoring outbursts.

In his first two months as a professional basketball player, former University of Utah star Jakob Poeltl has had the opportunity to play in 15 games for the Toronto Raptors, averaging 2.4 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11 minutes per game. The Austrian native also had the opportunity to start two games this year and even had his own SportsCenter top 10 highlight after a posterizing dunk against the Atlanta Hawks.
