A kind-hearted couple has become year-round Santas at their local hospital, after spending 13 years buying sweets to give away to both doctors and poorly children on the dialysis ward. Patrick and Sheena Simmonds, aged 85 and 81, have been loyal customers of the Guinness World Record-certified Oldest Sweet Shop in the World, in North Yorks, for more than a decade – spending more than 2,500 a year on sugary treats.
