New heart scanner which could save NHS 200 million is being trialled at Bristol hospital

A new heart scanning device that could save the NHS A 200 million a year and cut A&E waiting times is being trialled at Southmead Hospital. Vitalscan, which was developed by Creavo Medical Technologies, works by conducting a non-invasive three to five-minute scan at a patient’s bedside to rule out significant cardiac conditions, such as heart attacks.
