The internet search engine giant, Google marks the 186th birth anniversary of noted Indian feminist, gender equity advocate, social reformer and poet, Savitribai Phule with a doodle on its home page. Savitribai Phule, encouraged by her husband Jyotirao Phule, worked for girls’ education, rights of women, gender justice and social reforms.
