The Internet Association, a national trade group representing such companies doing battle in the state as Airbnb, Uber and Lyft, has hired John Olsen as its first New York executive director and is opening a new office near the Capitol in Albany. Internet Association President and CEO Michael Beckerman said the expansion into Albany represents a a signficant addition to the group’s 50-state government affairs program.
