A New Jersey-based nanotechnology company is in the process of receiving full patents on two new coating developments that it says could be of use to those who paint bridges and other metal structures. In a Feb. 8 press release , the Somerset-based NEI Corp. said it received a notice of allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, an important step in the process to full patent protection.
