Google has added three locations to the list of cloud data center construction projects it is doing to expand geographic reach of the physical infrastructure that supports its enterprise cloud services, investing billions to catch up with its biggest rivals in the space – Amazon, and Microsoft. Urs HA lzle, the company’s senior VP for technical infrastructure, announced the plans from stage Thursday at the Google Cloud Next event in San Francisco.
