The marketing of Grand Tier box 14 comes amid controversy over the RAH’s plans to sell dozens of extra seats to investors. Some “seat holders” have been disposing of unwanted seats for events at highly inflated prices through third-party ticket sites such as Viagogo.

Two Just Stop Oil protesters disrupted the opening night of the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall after running on to the stage, setting off confetti cannon and sounding air horns.

The pair were taken off stage at the west London venue within moments of unfurling their orange banners on Friday evening, according to footage on social media.

Performer pulls Royal Albert Hall gig over decision he compared to musical segregation

Violinist Nigel Kennedy has pulled out of a concert at the Royal Albert Hall with only days to go after accusing the radio station Classic FM of preventing him from performing a Jimi Hendrix tribute.

Kennedy said the “culturally prejudiced” decision amounted to “musical segregation”, with the station he now calls “Jurassic FM” preferring him to play Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in Wednesday’s show.
