The justices agreed Monday to review a lower court ruling that said Lafe Solomon should not have served as the temporary general counsel of the agency that enforces labor laws while he was at the same time nominated to fill that role permanently.

Microsoft goes to court over expanded US Labor Board rules for contract workers

According to Reuters, Microsoft is looking to get a federal court to overturn a ruling by the National Labor Relations Board that extends companies' responsibilities to contract employees, in addition to regular employees. Circuit said the FCC had the authority to reclassify broadband providers as common carriers under Title II of the Communications Act.
