Tehachapi hosted the California Association for Local Economic Development, Rural Economic Development Exchange meeting at the Slice of Life Enrichment School. A coalition of economic representatives from rural cities met in Tehachapi on Wednesday to gain resources from each other, share ideas and discuss legislative policies that impact their regions.
The Tehachapi City Council approved a letter to send to the Federal Aviation Administration that promises to look at concerns about Tehachapi Municipal Airport that the agency brought up earlier this year. "The letter doesn't commit us to any specific action other than we are going to be working on these elements," City Manager Greg Garrett said at the Nov. 20 City Council meeting.
