The Hernando County Commission appeared to be getting two new members, and all Republican representation, based on early returns in Tuesday's election, with one incumbent winning and one losing. District 1 incumbent Republican Nick Nicholson was ahead in early voting over his Democratic opponent Jimmy Lodato, while Diane Rowden, the District 3 incumbent and the only elected Democrat in Hernando County, fell behind her Republican opponent, political newcomer John Allocco.
