Iran Foreign Minister in Moscow as Russia moves to save nuclear deal
Iran's foreign minister was in Moscow on Monday as Russia tries to keep the Iran nuclear deal alive in the wake of Washington's pull-out, pushing it into rare cooperation with Europe. Iranian state television Irib broadcasted images of Mohammad Javad Zarif in Moscow, saying he had arrived in Russia at 4am on Monday and was due to meet Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov.

Putin Peace Plan Gets Boost as Syria Opposition Unites for Talks
Syria's fragmented opposition agreed to form a single bloc to negotiate with President Bashar al-Assad at a meeting in the Saudi capital Riyadh, giving a boost to a Russian-led diplomatic drive to end the 6 1/2-year civil war. "We have agreed with the other two branches" of the opposition "to send a united delegation to take part in direct negotiations in Geneva" comprising 50 members, Bassma Kodmani, a leader of the High Negotiations Committee, the main anti-Assad group, said early Friday after two days of talks, Saudi-owned Al Arabiya reported.

Russian Tu-154 Disappears From Radar
The BBC , and several other news agencies, are reporting that a Russian Tu-154 has disappeared from radar shortly after takeoff from Sochi on the Black Sea. The military jet, believed to be carrying around 100 people, was supposedly bound for Russia's air field in Latakia Province, Syria.
