Blue Jays Throwback: Brandon Morrow pitched for parts of five seasons in Toronto, totalling 538.0 IP with a 4.40 ERA Back in 2012, it looked like the Blue Jays had their rotation of the future. Ricky Romero led a staff that contained Henderson Alvarez , Drew Hutchison , Kyle Drabek , and perhaps the most tantalizing arm of the bunch, Brandon Morrow.

Raiders mailbag: Mario Edwards Jr. expectations, Derek Carr under center and yes, more Aldon Smith

I’d expect Mario Edwards Jr. to debut in at least a somewhat limited role, maybe in the 15-20 snap range to get his feet wet. It’s impossible to know what Edwards is going to be like after not playing in a regular season game in more than an entire calendar year, but without a doubt, he would be an improvement if he’s near the level he was at last season.

Donald Trump Wants to Add a Ballroom to the White House. Where Will It Go?

As soon as the 45th president of the United States takes office, he will be confronted with a quandary: Where to hold a big fancy party? The White House is old and its rooms are small, which in 2009 led President Obama to host the Indian prime minister, Manmohan Singh, in a temporary pavilion erected on the South Lawn. President Trump will never agree to host a dignitary in such squalor; he’s going to need a ballroom.

Blues 55 mins ago 11:13 p.m.Blues flop late again, fall 5-2 to Lightning

Repeated deficiencies cost the Blues again heading into the Christmas holidays, and they’ll have a week to stew on losing a two-goal lead on the road again. It started out as what was going to be a feel-good story for Wade Megan, who the Blues recalled earlier in the day from the Chicago Wolves to play in his first NHL game because of the upper-body injury to Paul Stastny, and Megan scored his first NHL goal, but a common theme for the road bit the Blues again, and they succumbed to the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-2 on Thursday at Amalie Arena.

It seems that everybody has a theory as to why the Kansas City Chiefs offense shuts down in the second half of games, even the star tight end who wishes he could do something to stop it. “Other than play-calling, I couldn’t really tell you,” Travis Kelce said after the latest slowdown, one that cost the Chiefs dearly in a 19-17 loss to the Tennessee Titans last Sunday.
