The expansion side found life tough in its first the top flight outing, giving up three goals late on to fall to a lopsided scoreline. The scoreline may not do full justice the showing from the expansion franchise, though the Portland Timbers were very deserving of the win, with three goals coming late on after the visiting side had pulled to within one.
