The Kerala Hight Court has sent a notice to the Board of Cricket Control for India to lift the lifetime ban imposed on cricketer S. Sreesanth after the lanky pacer approached the court few days back with a petition seeking removal of the ban. The notice was sent after Sreesanth filed a petition in the Kerala HC seeking its direction to the BCCI to allow him to play for a Scottish club in April and against BCCI’s decision to slap him with a life ban.

The first T20I of the three-match series between India and England at Green Park, Kanpur was totally dominated by the Eoin Morgan ‘s men against Virat Kohli and his co. After restricting India to 147 for 7, English batsman got off a good start before openers Jason Roy and Sam Billings both were dismissed in the fourth over by leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Captain Morgan then took charge along with Joe Root, and anchored the innings with their 83-run partnership.
CRICKET: Davey denied T20 glory by former Somerset teammates
Somerset bowler Josh Davey missed out on taking home a winners medal from the inaugural Desert T20 challenge after seeing his Scotland side defeated by Ireland in Friday’s semi-final. Having starred in the win over the Netherlands earlier in the week , Davey was in fine form going into the match but ended up seeing ex-Somerset duo George Dockrell and Kevin O’Brien progress to the final in Dubai.

Lupton Street, located off Weraroa Road in Waverley, is named after Isaac Lupton. He was born at South Stainley, Yorkshire, England on 29 June 1834 to Isaac and Mary Lupton .
Social Scene: Old Ashvillians reunite for end of year drinks reception
In addition to speeches by headmaster Mark Lauder and Ashvillian Society president Kirstin Barnes, a set of new “sporting honours boards” – naming the captains of the college’s 1st X1 cricket team from 1914 through to 1977 – were unveiled by Colin Evans, who led the team in 1946 and again in 1947. Mr Evans, who travelled from his home in Scotland to attend the evening, was assisted in his task by four other former cricket captains – Peter Ingham, Richard Whiteley, Terry Elsworth and Rodger Middleton.
