OAKLAND >> Murder charges remain a possibility as an Alameda County investigative team continued to look into why a horrific fire broke out at a Fruitvale District warehouse, killing 36 people, authorities said Monday afternoon. District Attorney Nancy O'Malley promised that “no stone would be left unturned” during the investigation, which remained as painstakingly slow as the cleanup, three days after the blaze at the building known as the “Ghost Ship.” She would not comment on whether Derrick Ion Almena, the resident of the warehouse and the subject of harsh words by people who know him, has been interviewed yet.
