Snohomish County NAACP vigil honors lives lost, seeks path forward

A small crowd held a vigil outside the Snohomish County Courthouse in Everett Sunday following the deaths in Minnesota, Louisiana and Texas earlier this week. In times of social discord and national mourning - such as the nation is experiencing following this week's shootings in Minnesota, Louisiana and Texas - people tend to congregate in support of one another, sharing the hopes that that will carry them forward through dark times.

Even split between Clinton, Sanders in Snohomish County primary

Ballot counting for the presidential primary ended Tuesday and the results show Democratic voters in Snohomish County evenly split on who should be their party's nominee this fall. Hillary Clinton, the front-running Democrat and likely nominee, collected 52.4 percent of the Democratic vote statewide to beat Bernie Sanders by roughly 40,000 votes.
