We have a long history of coddling coyotes. A large part of our affinity comes from the fact that coyotes are smarter than many humans, and they're especially more clever than most hair-on-fire alarmists on social media, especially, not surprisingly, the eternally fear-stricken people who tend to favor Nextdoor, where the cyclical cry for coyote eradication has once again flared up.

CA Senator Introduces Bill To Legalize Street Vending Statewide

Street vendors might be getting closer to going legit with the introduction in the state senate of a bill that would decriminalize their work across the state. State Sen. Ricardo Lara, whose District 33 includes the cities of Huntington Park, Paramount and Long Beach, introduced SB 946 this week, which would prohibit local authorities from regulating street vending if merchants go through a permitting process.
